Here’s a super easy, comforting & warming recipe, perfect for a midweek.

Flavoursome, thrifty, gelatinous shin beef and gorgeous beef dripping! Makes everything taste amazing!

You will need:-

  • 440g grass-fed shin beef
  • Grassfed beef dripping
  • 2 Carrots
  • 1 Onion
  • 3 Celery sticks
  • 200ml Beef stock
  • Cumin
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 celeriac
  • Mixed winter herbs (thyme/ bay leaf/ parsley)

  1. Brown the beef in the beef dripping. Remove from the pan. Now brown the vegetables.
  2. Add to the slow cooker with the stock and spices.
  3. Set the slow cooker on low, and leave for up to 8 hours.
  4. Peel and dice the celeriac, season, and roast in beef dripping for 20 mins.
  5. Once ready, remove the meat chunks from the slow cooker, and in a pan reduce the beef juices to a delicious gravy.
  6. Now remove the celeriac from the oven, half mash, now serve with a bowl of shin beef and gravy.
